The Stockholm metro (Swedish: Stockholms tunnelbana, lit. 'Stockholm's tunnel rail') is a rapid transit system in Stockholm, Sweden.The first line opened in 1950, and today the system has 100 stations in use, of which 47 are underground and 53 above ground.
Stockholm Metro has seven lines and the lines are divided into three groups. The lines are numbered from 10 to 19, and they are identified by color Green, red and blue. Each colored line shared two or three numbered lines and the lines move through the Stockholm city center. There are two blue lines, 2 red line and three green lines.

Nearly twenty kilometres of new track and eleven new stations on four sections. Region Stockholm is responsible for the expansion and planning is well under way.
